You might experience only a few of those symptoms, or perhaps all of them. Some days may be better than others, or you may feel them every day, and it is entirely unpredictable how each day will impact you. I understand - I have been in that situation as well and it is truly exhausting!
I am a registered Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist and certified Therapeutic Coach trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and the Optimum Health Clinic in London. I support people like you who are struggling with gut, hormone and metabolic imbalances.
I do this through personalised nutritional and wellness plans that start with foundational first steps. This involves returning to basic principles, establishing strong foundations in nutrition and diet, returning to restorative sleep, addressing stress, learning to self-regulate and introduce more purposeful movement.
Sound obvious? You'd be amazed by how we have normalised late nights, constant stress, eating on the go and sitting at desks for long periods. However, when we shine a light on these foundational pillars of health, we begin to bring our bodies back into balance, opening the door to healing.
Once the foundations are firmly in place, we have a much better view point of where functional medicine is required. Using targeted strategies, supplementation and testing, we can then remove triggers and underlying causes, allowing us to rebuild, regenerate and restore optimal health from within.
We share a complementary video call to discuss your symptoms and health goals for future well-being. I provide guidance on the most suitable plan and outline the expertise I can offer.
We spend 90 minutes discussing and evaluating your health history past and present. We focus on medical history, family history, sleep, stress levels and movement patterns. We create a health timeline to help us unravel health mysteries and highlight root causes.
I ask you to provide a food diary so we can work together on addressing food choices. I analyse what you are eating, when you are eating and how you are eating, implementing adjustments to promote lasting improvements.
We talk regularly to discuss what is working, what is not and then to plan ahead. We trouble shoot each step of the plan. Results tend to be lasting when changes are made slowly in small increments. Often less is more, enabling body and mind to fully embrace change.
You receive a protocol at the start of the plan and then updates after each consultation, highlighting the key points to focus on. It's often not what you have to do but it's the 'how' that is difficult, so the approach is designed to empower and motivate in a simple achievable manner.
Where needed, additional testing may be recommended. Sometimes this involves a trip to your healthcare provider, other times private testing is best as it provides a deeper insight into imbalances and provides a more targeted approach. I work closely with health care providers and will recommend other forms of holistic specialists where applicable.
I focus on diet and lifestyle advice first but in most instances supplementation will be recommended. If so, I will make appropriate suggestions and advise where you can purchase at a discounted price. I recommend suppliers that I trust for their high standards, quality, bioavailability and purity of products.
